About - Florence-Modern is a science‑led design and engineering practice dedicated to understanding these behaviours across landscapes and built form — and transforming them into environments that support life.We integrate environmental science, built‑form performance, regulatory intelligence, spatial analysis, and human biology into a unified approach that reveals the hidden systems governing place. Grounded in health science, architectural science, engineering, and the integrated science of the built environment, we study climate, microclimate, ecology, statutory conditions, and human experience to establish the performance and wellbeing foundations that guide design. Florence Modern operates where buildings, landscapes, and environmental systems converge. Our work spans analysis, modelling, and design across scales — from rooms to buildings, from gardens to precincts, from individual physiology to ecological response. We provide evidence‑based strategy before design begins, ensuring every project is aligned with its site, its conditions, and the people it serves. From this foundation, we design environments that are resilient, restorative, and deeply connected to place — environments that elevate wellbeing and strengthen ecological performance.
